Mozart, Sonata K.280 a. Allegro assai b. Adagio c. Presto

I'm glad that we've been able to contact each other frequently, through email at least. But so far, we haven't been on Skype at all mostly because of scheduling differences. I sort of let months pass by without realizing it, and I said that I should at least talk with her once through Skype. I feel optimistic, but it's going to take more effort and initiative to get things done. Laziness and procrastination doesn't get anyone anywhere. I just have to get my ass out the door and spend more time with others. Or go on that hiking or camping trip that I usually talk about. As of now though, I have to be more concerned about my diet heh.

I prefer certain composers and pieces for a classical repertoire, but I've always believed that it was also important to have a diverse repertoire across different eras or periods. Whether it's a Scarlatti or a Rachmaninoff, I don't think there is anything that unusual about focusing on just one or two eras. But it would certainly be beneficial to the classical musician to embrace pieces from all eras.

It's been raining and gotten a bit chilly, but I'm sure it'll warm up again. It hasn't been that hot for the most part, but sometimes it feels hotter than it really is. In the meantime, I can at least try to drive out to a secluded area and hike around for awhile.

I'd like to wish maestro Lang Lang a happy birthday as well. I know that he'll continue to give outstanding concerts all around the world, as well as inspire or encourage young students to develop or cultivate their passion as well as their repertoire in classical music. Certainly, I'll continue to listen to his Concertos and other repertoire whenever possible. Unfortunately, concerts are not streamed live and are only available by attending in person. But I think most would prefer to attend a concert in person anyway.

I'm content with the web host that I'm with, and this web site is certainly going to continue to be around. But if that's the case, I have to pay more attention to account renewals. Sometimes, months just pass by without realizing whether or not something is about to expire. Apparently, most of the alerts and other information were sent to an email account that I don't use anymore.

I'm just glad that I finally received what I ordered, although it seemed to have bounced around from different post offices. And now I find out that my tax return check had to be resent again after being returned. For that, I'll have to make sure to do a direct deposit next year. I'll usually first verify whether the address given was correctly entered on both ends. It's alright though, I'm not going to knock on anyone because typos happen.

I got some Liszt and Bach, which I'll start working on after the final Mozart Sonata. I'm looking forward to the Liszt La Leggierezza, and it's been one of my favorites. As for Bach, it's been quite awhile but it usually comes back to me.

I don't think it's all that necessary to spend too much time with my parents. If I have just one or two meals with them as well as having a productive conversation, that's well worth it. I suppose I should try to spend as much time with them whenever they visit, since they get to. But I prefer otherwise as I'm sure most do.

I definitely plan to go camping, but I'm thinking about sometime after this month. I prefer to wait until it gets warmer, but usually anytime during the summer is reasonable. I enjoy spending time with others, and just getting into a fun or interesting conversation. Whenever the opportunity is there, it would certainly be beneficial for me to do so. But with my ass glued to the computer sometimes, I haven't gone out as much as I should. I also realize the necessity to change my diet completely, not so much as what foods I consume but also the quantity or the amount that is consumed. I guess that means I have to stop snacking so much.

I'm usually grateful and happy whenever one of my parents can visit, because they don't get to visit often at all. But my father has a tendency to visit without alerting us in advance or asking whether we can accommodate his visit, which can be a bit annoying. Still, he is a busy person and rarely does he gets to visit; once or twice a year at most.

I usually don't spend a lot of time on the internet anymore, basically only to update this web site as well as to check on youtube subscriptions for any new videos. If there are new and interesting youtube talents out there, I'll usually add them. Although I spend most of the time on the piano practicing new pieces, it is not exactly a workout that'll get me in shape. But I have to actually enjoy the activity to be motivated, otherwise I tend to quit easily and lapse back into my old habits. I might not enjoy running or jogging, but I can at least get my ass out the door and just walk around for miles within a secluded area in nature. I suppose that's called hiking heheh.

I've gotten a lot of calls intended for somebody else from individuals who continue to keep calling. I'm sure it'll eventually cease. Although I never answer these calls, voice messages are often left. And I'm not one to let them know about it because my credo is, if you can't figure it out (by verifying whether the phone number is actually the right one or not after a few attempts), then I'd think; "you're a dumbass muthafucka, you know that?" muhaha. Nah, but anyway. I usually don't waste time on that shit, just like with spam messages that are filtered and automatically deleted.
